Description: This module finishes the overviews of the Clinical Practice Guidelines with the guideline on Chronic Pain.  The study then starts the reviews of the evidence-based therapy models recommended for use with Veteran populations.  Great advances have been made in the availability of evidence-based treatments and strategies for engaging Veterans into planning services tailored to their individual needs. The two evidence-based practices discussed in Module Nine are Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.  We will include information on underlying assumptions, stages, and techniques for both models.

Discuss the basic treatment methods of Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
