This is the ninth in a series of twelve courses on serving Veteran populations. They can be taken in order or as stand-alone courses.
Description: This module finishes the overviews of the Clinical Practice Guidelines with the guideline on Chronic Pain. The study then starts the reviews of the evidence-based therapy models recommended for use with Veteran populations. Great advances have been made in the availability of evidence-based treatments and strategies for engaging Veterans into planning services tailored to their individual needs. The two evidence-based practices discussed in Module Nine are Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
